How long does artificial grass last for?

There are many factors that can affect the life span of artificial grass. This includes how well it is layed, if it is properly maintained and of course the amount of traffic that it is used for. The normal life expectancy is 15 plus years, however due to the above factors, go well past that time period.

Does artificial grass fade?

Quality synthetic turf includes UV inhibitors that are added to inhibit fading. A small amount of fading can still occur over a long period of time however suppliers will offer a warranty that covers potential fading.

How is the grass installed?

We start by clearing the existing site and then laying a bed of porous crusher dust. If the bed requires deeper filling we a lay a high quality road base beneath the crusher dust. Both are compacted to ensure a level surface.
The synthetic grass is pinned in place with galvanised pins to stop rusting, before carefully power brushing up the fibres.
When finished the artificial turf looks like a grass lawn with one exception….no more mowing or maintenance.
Alternatively you may have a concrete area that you wish to cover. We simply prepare the area and glue the turf to the surface.

What surfaces are suitable?

You can definitely install artificial grass on a base prepared over soil or on concrete. It is perfect for garden or pool areas as well as balconies or patios.
